Drama Learning Center Expands Popular Summer Camps Program to Baltimore City by Katie Johnson

Drama Learning Center (DLC) will be bringing its highly successful and educational summer camps program to Baltimore City again this summer. Camps begin July 9th and include many fun and engaging themes including Glee, Aladdin, TV Stars and Best of Broadway. Students will learn popular songs, stage direction, creative expression and more. Each camp culminates in a final performance for family members. One or three week camps will be held at the Maryland State Boy Choir Center on Norman Avenue in Baltimore from now through August 24th and are open to children from Pre-K to 8th Grade.

Drama Learning Center has been providing theatre education for over 20 years and is based in Howard County, Maryland. DLC promotes a learning environment based on self-confidence, self-expression, a sense of commitment and a love for the arts among children of all ages.

DLC’s owner and executive producer, Stephanie Williams, explains that expanding their successful Columbia program to Baltimore City seemed a natural progression.  “We’ve identified a need to provide children in Baltimore City access to a creative outlet in the summer months when school is not in session,” Williams says. “We want to be able to show them how much fun participating in the performing arts can be.”
